Schumer is a huge disappointment indeed. This is the 1-minute message I left him and Gillibrand today.

Senator Schumer/Gillibrand:

I can understand your fear of the uncertainties of a government shutdown.

But if you vote yes, these three things are certain

1. You will have given your imprimatur to the harmful moves of the administration since Jan 20

2. You will have harmed all the lawsuits against Trump EOs and Musk chainsaw moves

3. You will have signed on to Project 2025

Bottomline: What’s certain is that you leave NYers and my family undefended against looming cuts.

Vote NO to cloture, NO to CR bill.

Thank you. It occurred to me that his editorial is a manifesto of cowardice. He is a no-plan senator. He can’t vote no because Dems have no strategy or fight plan in case of a shutdown. And he will vote yes, because he has no plan whatsoever to defend us, just as he has had nothing since January 20.

Thank you. I've called and emailed but today no messages are being taken on the phone. Schumer must go. He's terrible.

Not even an option to leave a message. "Office is not available." Schumer, you can run, but you can't hide forever.

I came here to say: WAY TO GO ANNIE TOMLIN! She should be (and I hope she is) proud of herself for helping get Rep Larson to that point! We NEEDED to see it!

Jess, your extra credit message is inspiring. I would love it if you could find time in the coming weeks to write about if and how we can advocate for Schumer to be replaced as minority leader. Is that possible? If so, let's try to make it happen.

I called Chuck Schumer’s office this morning

Took me three calls to get through

I left a message

Yesterday I was able to talk to somebody personally

I think that’s actually a good sign. That thousands of people are calling.

I’ve voted Democrat for 50 years

Schumer is an absolute embarrassment and a tragedy for our country

Have a wonderful birthday weekend- you so deserve it!- and don't you dare send out ANY emails that aren't preplanned as you and your family celebrate you. We will be doing the same, appreciating our voice of reason during this insanely awful time. Thank you for your energy and wisdom.

So agree. This was the last straw for me. His waffly not-actually-doing-anything cane-waving of the last month is ridiculous. I also told my (CA) senators they need new leadership.

Something I'm looking forward to & hope I didn't get it here, honestly can't remember: If each of us writes even a single postcard to the president, and we put them all in the mail on the same day, March 15th, well - you do the math. No alternative fact or Russian translation will explain away our record-breaking, officially-verifiable, warehouse-filling flood of fury. Hank Aaron currently holds the record for fan mail, having received 900,000 pieces in a year. We’re setting a new record - over a million pieces in a day, with not a single nice thing to say #TheIdesOfTrump

Write one postcard. Take a picture and post it on social media tagged with #TheIdesOfTrump! March 15th, mail your messages to:

President (for now) Donald J. Trump

The White House, 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue NW

Washington, DC 20500
