Hi, all, and happy Wednesday! Amazing news this morning—Eli Lily announced that it is slashing the prices of its insulin drugs and capping the out-of-pocket cost for everyone at $35 a month. This is a really, really big deal, and it’s the direct result of relentless efforts by President Biden to lower the cost of this life-saving drug. To say that it’s a win—for diabetics, for Americans, and for Biden himself—is a massive understatement.
"To direct the Secretary of Transportation to issue certain regulations to define high-hazard flammable train, and for other purposes."
My representative, Jamaal Bowman (D-NY-16) is an original co-sponsor. I will call his office tomorrow to thank him. As of this writing, no Republicans have co-sponsored.
Many things I read, including this post, emphasize how much we need to amplify President Biden's accomplishments. While I haven't completely thought this through yet, Pfeiffer's substack blog today makes me think perhaps greater use of Twitter might help. Read his analysis of who are Twitter users and see if you think there "might be a pony in there "(old joke)
I did read that, and I tend to think that Twitter is not a helpful place to get the information to anyone who is actually going to change their vote. That’s one of the two reasons I got off. The other one being Elon musk. I just don’t feel like anyone is persuadable there. But I could be wrong.
Fan freaking tastid on the insulin!!!!
Right?
I believe that the house bill introduced by Rep DeLuzio has now been numbered H.R. 1238.

Amazing so good to have that extra information. Thank you.
