FYI "Demand Justice" requires your mobile number to subscribe to their email list or do "virtual letter writing" so I will not be participating through them. Mobile numbers are like gold and highly desirable for marketing purposes, and I never give out mine except to people I actually know irl.
But thanks for all the information you give us that enables us to take action!
In the past I tried my landline work number and that also got nixed. I suspect there's some kind of directory checking that is linked to any number that you might enter into that "Mobile number" field. Some websites will force verification by sending a text to whatever number is posted that you must enter to continue. Trust me, there is a lot of back-end coding not visible to the typical user - I suspect that the stricter laws regarding the use of mobile numbers and the "Do Not Call" list has contributed to that.
The robo-calls supposedly have to skip over any numbers that are listed in the national Do Not Call list, and consumers can file a complaint if they feel there was a violation, but I noticed that in the first two years of the pandemic the robo-calls disappeared completely, to return with a vengeance at the beginning of this year. It is very frustrating to check and see that the Do Not Call is still current but somehow those robo-calls keep coming.
If you haven’t already, consider becoming an election worker! Having more than enough people willing to work the polls for early voting and Election Day provides the resources needed to expand voting access! It’s your civic duty on steroids!
Thank you, Jess!
You're so welcome!

OK. Can't you just make one up? 555-555-5555?
It works for the first prompt but then on the next menu to write a letter, it says:
"Oops! You have 1 error."
And the mobile number field is bright red... lolol
Dang robots, but not surprised bc I've tried that for other causes, and failed. 🙈
Make up another number that's less obviously bad?

I do what you do…don’t give my mobile #…BUT I still get calls! Frustrating!
