Hi, all, and happy Monday. I hope you had a good weekend. I’m in Arizona; I came to tour the border with some folks who volunteer there regularly. Just meeting them last night and hearing a bit about the work they do has already brought me to tears. I can’t even imagine what the rest of today will bring. I’m told that this tour will be life-changing—which both excites and scares me. But one thing I do know for sure: I want to be more like
I am galled that about 1/4 of our country's outstanding debt was incurred under tfg and that now they refuse to pay for it. Hope everyone knows a GOP default when they see one.
Dear Jess -- thank you for your positivity and example of action, in addition to words. If I may suggest one material edit today about good vs. evil: Instead of "So let’s grow the good today—not fight the evil,' let's say together, "So let’s grow the good today TO fight the evil." Good conquers evil every day. As my favorite guru Mr. Rogers said, "Look for the Helpers." His famous advice was: "There are three ways to ultimate success: The first way is to be kind. The second way is to be kind. The third way is to be kind." Much love to you and thumbs-up for everything you do!
Thank you for visiting our border towns, which are full of good people, and deserve all the support the rest of the nation can offer-as do those who are legitimately crossing into this country to seek a better life.
Please read Jessica Valentii's "Abortion Every Day" newsletter Monday Feb. 6th and the warnings that medicated abortion is close to be banned in every state due to a judge in Texas. What can we do about this?
There should be a public declaration from all institutions of higher learning, public and private, condemning the The College Board’s interference in AP African American Studies curriculum. Why hasn’t this happened???
Thanks...it’s the earliest time of the day I’ve called my Congressperson!
Haha because I wrote this last night and scheduled it to go out at 6AM this morning! For once I’m punctual!

Love that. And yeah, I thought of Fred Rogers yesterday when I met these folks. They are “the helpers”
Indeed.

Great question. Let me ponder if there's a call we can make.
I’m in AZ, hope to hear more about your border visit... always like your positive attitude AND concrete solutions!
