Which raises the question - What does Nancy Jacobson really want? One does not reasonably go into an election, especially one like 2024, without some real-life goal. Money? Ideology? Power? Any ideas?
You can phone bank whenever you have a little time as long as it is between 8am - 7pm PT/11am - 10pm ET. FYI, once you have signed up, the link will show you ALLthe CA phone banks, not just the one for Rudy Salas that Jessica was promoting.
I joined one of their regular phone banks for Tom Suozzi to figure out the system, but then I did most of my Suozzi phone banking on my own with the 20 dials/20 minutes challenge.
To be honest, I'm not that fond of phone banking, but can handle it for a good cause in smaller bites, which this allows you to do.
I think you'd want to attend a guided phonebank once to learn how to do it, and then you could go it alone after that. There are several in the linktree.
I agree with Jessica. Try it with the training wheels on first ;-).
I mostly posted about the self-guided option because people think that they HAVE TO attend one of tbe Zooms to get access to the phone bank and that might not fit their schedule.
The resistbot petition today first mentions vote.org, the vote.gov. I believe vote.gov is correct. Is this typo fixable?
Ugh yes I will fix it.
Thanks for flagging!
Done! https://resist.bot/petitions/PPDVVC

Sorry who is Nancy Jacobson?
She and her husband Mark Penn are behind No Labels.
Per the Lincoln Project, the big No Labels donors are all Republican billionaires and they want to oust Biden. I think she is just their hired gun.
Both she and her husband were Democrats before he was let go from Hillary's 2008 presidential campaign. So revenge could also be a motive
Thanks Cheryl. I hadn't known about the background with Clinton.
If you have phone banked before - especially if with Grassroot Democrats, I recommend their
"20 Dials or 20 Minutes a Day Challenge for CA Primaries!" https://www.mobilize.us/mobilize/event/609001/

Thanks for the info! I have been trying to work up the nerve to start phone banking (so much anxiety over this).
Does this particular phone bank provide any training when you sign up, and is everything very scripted for any scenario?

Yes I agree this is a great and manageable campiagn!
For this election, do you possibly supply a cheat sheet for your voting recommendations?
