Need to modify the letter somewhat because they're a non-profit. Also... as they're a membership organization, unless you have a child eligible (ages 5 -17) or are an adult volunteer, it's unlikely you'd have any direct interactions with them. Just saying...

And if you know anything about their history they've only relatively recently come around to the idea of allowing gay Scouts and adult leaders.

"Because if we don't hear anything from you, one of the biggest companies in Texas, I will assume you condone this, and you will never have my business again."

"Please, speak up forcefully against this policy. Threaten to leave the state. Do whatever it takes. You can't claim to be pro-LGBTQ and let something this awful stand."

Thanks, I modified several of the letters when I could to include any account numbers, or membership numbers. I also was able to include that I had first hand experience with the issue through friends as suggested and was able to include through other military families. Plus as a mom of two Eagle Scouts (one only a few month ago), a volunteer for years in Scouting, we were around the LGBTQ community in scouting, both adults and children. I know it’s a mixed bag in BSA still but they are hyper sensitive to these types of issues and some of the younger executive have open minds. Writing them matters and IMHO will make a difference for the LGTQ community. They need to know we care. Hope that helps adds something on some way.

Yes, I've been involved in Scouting for over 20 years and it's true that the current batch of BSA leaders and Scouters are much more open-minded than in my earlier years. Girl Scouts was much more accepting early on. Both my daughters were active, and my son earned his Eagle in 2016.

Feedback is a gift as they say in Scouting, and BSA has demonstrated that it is capable of change.
