Hi, all, and happy Thursday. I seem to have the flu, so wasn’t planning on doing a newsletter at all today. But then I opened my computer—my first mistake—started reading the news, and thought “What the heck. I’ll do a quick one.” So here I am. Because every day is a day that at least
My daughter, confirmed flu type A, recovered incredibly quickly. Hope you do, too.
And I’m not kidding: drink hot Tang. Gives you vitamin C, which our bodies don’t store, nice steam for opening nasal passages, and it makes your hands feel good when you wrap your hands around the nice, hot cup.
David Pepper has occasionally been mentioned in your column. He is a resident of OH, former chairman of the Ohio Democratic Party and author of several books including "Laboratories of Autocracy: A Wake-Up Call from Behind the Lines. 2021." He writes on substack too and has excellent insight into OH politics.
Hi Jessica - Thanks for letting me copy. I hope you feel better fast.

Your tips have made it much easier and faster to make my voice heard, and I am grateful for that, but I do not understand what this is about. Can you please clarifying the statement above? Thanks!
I think it's a reference to Trump's using his executive power to appoint people to leadership positions without Senate confirmation by making them "acting" positions.
Chicken soup. The answer to all things that ail you ❣️ Feel better soon, Jess.
Had some, thanks!
Oh dear! I hope you recover quickly!! Rest up. I love Lemon Echinacea Throat Coat tea with lots of honey when I am sick.
I registered for Simon Rosenberg's briefing tomorrow. Those are so great and they kept me sane throughout the midterms. In case anyone missed it, Simon is shuttering NDN (New Democrat Network) after almost 30 years. He will address this momentous transition in tomorrow's briefing, but you can also read about it in today's article from the Atlantic https://www.theatlantic.com/ideas/archive/2023/02/democratic-strategist-simon-rosenberg-ndn-new-democratic-network/673182/
Hope it was great. I'm going to have to watch the recording.
LOVE the meme! Go Brandon, indeed
Into Action has tons of them free to download and use! https://library.into-action.us/collection/dark-brandon
Get well quick, Jess. Chicken soup for the body and soul.
Thanks, Victoria.
Feel better soon! 🤒
(I found hot Countrytime Lemonade (the one with sugar) in a mug great during a cold or flu.)
Wow. Intriguing!

Love the Yellow Corvette image.
Great, right?
Rest up, and feel better soon! 💜
Will do!
Get well soon, Jessica!
Please take good care of yourself Jessica. You are our national treasure. Rest and recuperate.
Sending good thoughts for an immediate recovery! But also get some rest - we'll still be here when you get back. XX

Oooh thank you! Will amplify!
Get well soon. If the chicken soup doesn't work there's always bourbon; mixed with lemon, local honey and hot tea. Sleep well.
I hope you feel better very soon!
Thanks, Lisa!
