Jess, I loved your Florida podcast. You are fantastic! So many companies throw thei money at all politiciions hoping for influence however the elections turn out. They need to know how offensive it is
I was so hoping you would send links so we can write to these companies- - you are the very best!!! what a disgrace that these companies think this is ok- these poor kids - as if they don’t have enough on their plate…
The issue is not so much that they are a huge company but that they are the company that AARP uses. I cancelled my insurance through AARP this year when the renewal period came up and switched to a different company. I had multiple conversations with United Healthcare agents who told me that their company did not do any of the things that Judd Legum has reported. And that's because it is the parent company, United Healthgroup, that is doing this.
HI Jess and all election activists! I've updated my Google Doc with information about where you can plug in to elections volunteering. For each entry, there's info about the organization's approach and how to get more info and sign up. It's NC-oriented but there is also information about some of the efforts to advocate for voting rights nationally and in states trying to pass voter suppression laws and about GOTV efforts in those states. I update this regularly (most recently 2/20/22), so save the link, and if you're volunteering in NC, I'd love to hear from you. My contact info is in the file. The link is: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1y22xoIfQb7obiGHmYtggWdGUeBYpKF-D-ndIXS_lONU/edit.
Felt amazing to begin my day with letters to the corporations and to the President- thanks for helping us do that!!!!❤️
Thank you for DOING it!

Agreed. Thank you for writing them!
FYI - @UHC is United Healthcare. That is the health insurance that AARP recommends.
Yeah they're a huge company.
