Jessica, I think we are getting more than our money's worth supporting you. Both the Wi judicial election and the train brake safety issue are close to home for me. I lived in Wi until college, and still love the state and family and friends there. The neighborhood I have lived in and loved for over 40 years in Minneapolis has train tracks running near and through it. The tracks are busy at night, lots of tanker cars. Though I'm only 2 blocks away, the trains seem benign-inconvenient delays at times, a frequent but not unpleasant hum at night. Do these trains have the best braking systems? I have no idea. I know a disaster plan for the neighborhoods exists. I don't remember how I became aware of it; no neighbor has ever mentioned it. Open discussion probably isn't good for for property values, but, mostly, I suspect we just don't see trains as a threat as long as we are not on the tracks when they come through. I admit phone calls are my 2nd least favorite action-after door-knocking. These calls I will make.
