The Resistbot letter’s content is good, but the letter is TOO LONG. Make them short and to the point. With a slam dunk subject line. Pull no punches and no more diplomat-speak.

OK I will bear it in mind.

I REALLY agree with this. I get overwhelmed with too much info and feel like discontinuing. But, concise messages would be much better.

I went to an Indivisible meeting today for the first time, and met a woman who has a small business helping with contracts for USAID. She said 60% of her contracts have been cancelled and she expects nearly all to be cancelled by July. Meaning she will have to close her business. But her greatest fear was that people in the programs she supported would die due to lack of malaria medication, HIV medication and access to prenatal care. I don’t have enough swear words to describe how I feel about Musk and every other republican supporting USAID’s destruction

It's devastating.

For peaceful protests - MORE US FLAGS!! I went to one in DC with some flags and first thought maybe I was at a MAGA rally. Then I realized that we need many, many more flags to underscore our patriotism and love of country. Big Stars and Stripes forever - defend the constitution, government of the people, by the people, for the people.

Agree. We need to take our flag back.

The voucher schemes are just that: bait and switch schemes. Once the magats have destroyed public eduction, they will pull the rug out from vouchers and turn off the funding. Those who cannot afford to pay for private schools, or who cannot find a school to accept their children, will have to home school and/or join together with other parents to educate their children; or, no education at all (source of cheap child labor, which magats have already shown their willingness to implement).

Who will be primarily responsible? Yep, women. So women will need to leave the work force, and just imagine the snowball effect on families and the country from that change.

“As a result, most recipients of private school vouchers in universal programs are wealthy families whose children never attended public schools in the first place.”

A war on the poor (and middle class). The wealthy don’t need a middle class - they need a supply of cheap labor.

Actually, I have rethought my initial comment. The voucher money won’t be totally cut. Funding will go to the select group of private school operators who will become fewer and fewer and will eventually become a monopoly of a few private school operators. Religious schools will continue to receive funding, if they are the “right” religion and teach the “approved” curriculum. My prediction.

Ask Elon and everyone else claiming fraud for PROOF‼️

We are tired of the Smoke and Mirrors Show the Dog and Pony Show…… We agree waste and fraud are not ok! Let’s get professionals in to look into these matters instead of a bunch of youngsters that are coders!

Just called my senators re NIH cuts. I live in NC & I referred to the quote by Holden Thorp (former chancellor UNC-Chapel Hill #GoHeels & now Editor in Chief of Science).

Holden Thorp, a former chancellor at UNC-Chapel Hill, told The News & Observer the funding cut would cause "massive layoffs across the Triangle if this (rule) holds." I also mentioned this statement from my hero & NC AG Jeff Jackson:

"This attempt to slash funding for research awards that have already been granted violates the law and would cost North Carolina's public universities hundreds of millions of dollars every year going forward," N.C. Attorney General Jeff Jackson said in a statement.

Department of Education. I would love to have a crib sheet on the Department of Education. Graphics explaining that DOE does not do curriculum, that the budget for k-12 goes to Title 1 and why TItle 1 is so needed in poor red states, and also aid to the disabled. Their budget is largely, 90%, devoted to loans and grants to students beyond high school. Short, sweet, and to the point.

Can you amplify the President's Day Protests happening all over the country on Monday?

In calls to their reps and other govt officials, can people try and flag the fact that the DOGE lackey stationed in charge of the Departments of State and Homeland Security is connected to "The Community" aka a massive digital criminal network that participates in child sexual exploitation? Why are these guys allowed to have such high levels of access without any level of screening?

I just wrote this to my Democratic Senator (Andy Kim). I encourage others represented by democrats to do something similar.

Thank you to you, and to other individual members of Congress, for getting out and having your voices heard to push back against the illegal and corrupt actions of the Musk/Trump crime spree.

Your voices are powerful, but they are not united. The people fighting to maintain our democracy need an organized opposition voice - a People's Cabinet, as suggested by Timothy Snyder. Robert Hubbell elaborated on the idea in the Concluding Thoughts in his newsletter on Monday (https://roberthubbell.substack.com/p/we-are-not-sheep-get-louder-take).

Please work to bring Democrats (both in and out of Congress) together to present a unified voice - that the media will not be able to ignore - to educate the American public on the atrocities of the Musk/Trump regime and what should be happening instead.

Thank you! I'm going to send this as an email to Schiff (since he still - after 3 months in office - doesn't have staff answering his phones) and email plus call Padilla and my Congressman.

Since Schiff does not list his offices or phone numbers on his website, (Except DC which is always full), I wrote on the contact form today asking where the numbers were and why is he hiding from his constituents. I pointed out that neither Katie Porter nor Barbara Lee would be doing that if they had his job.
