They can hold hearings, but the answer to the Boeing question is simple. Boeing and McDonnell-Douglas merged and the accountants at M-D took over the company displacing the engineers whose focus on quality and safety had made Boeing the foremost civil aviation company in the world. Everything else follows from that. Full disclosure, I don't now and have not in the past owned stock in either company and don't have a horse in the race.
Thanks for the recommendation Victoria. Everybody outsources and subcontracts, but Boeing for years did all the engineering in house and that's what set them apart.
I’d like to make a suggestion. Some young people I know drafted a letter to their grandmother (who had been seduced by FOXnews) in 2020. The letter was loving, respectful, and talked about all the reasons they hoped she would vote for Biden. I have their permission to use it as the basis of a template that anyone who wants to write to a family member could build on. If I did that would you consider adding it to the newsletter one of these days? I feel like children or grandchildren are the only people who can make contact sometimes. Thanks for considering it, and as always thank you for giving us real tools to work with.

Jess I highly recommend you turn off comments in your new newsletter. Those of us who want to help will do the actions we agree with and pass over the ones we don’t. You can’t please everyone and I don’t see how comments will help in this charged environment.
A while back you shared a tracker of Biden accomplishments by state and by bill. This is truly great and useful info, but I cannot seem to find the link. Can you please share that again? I’m sure at this point MANY
more accomplishments are listed and we can all use a reminder about this great resource. Thanks for all you do! I read your newsletter religiously and use it as a guide for my activism.
I’m doubtful RK is a real person. Presents more like a foreigner paid to sow division. They are all over social media of late. Hope our government can figure out how to stem the tide with this coming election ramping up.
RK, I'm with you on this. I think many--not all, but many--progressives have behaved badly in this situation. The kind of behavior you're describing is NEVER OK.
Hi, everyone, it's OK! RK, I have talked about this several times in the newsletter--perhaps you're newer here? Anyway, I think my readers are defending me because I've been very careful NOT to take an extreme stance on this fight--on either side. I have actually elected not to say anything about it at all for most of the last four months, because I 'm not a foreign policy expert and because I want us to stay focused on beating Trump. Having said that, I primarily follow J Street for my actions on the Middle East so if you're OK with them you'll like my actions. And again, the new newsletter is NOT meant to be only, or even primarily, about the Middle East! It's for all things global in scope, since those don't always fit in a newsletter about American elections and politics.
Jess is working her ass off to make the world a better place and tries to give us tools to help. If you don’t like any of her opinions and calls to action that’s fine but accusing her of antisemitism is ridiculous. I can think of few people who approach the mess in the Middle East with as much empathy and humility as Jess. Jess please know most of us fully support you!
I read your post. My point was that nothing Jess says could ever be credibly accused as antisemitic, even if you don’t agree with it. Also using inflammatory language such as “it has better” is very confrontational and not helpful.
Thank you for the scripts for calling our congresspeople!
Always!

Totally. Matt Stoller from "Big" talks a lot abut this--do you read him? he's been SO GOOD on Boeing.
I do, Matt is quite good.
I agree.
A lot of Boeing's parts are out
sourced to different sub-contractors all over the
place.
Want a good read on Boeing?
"Flying Blind" by Peter Robinson.
And Matt Stoller has been writing about it in "Big." And the Lever, too.
Thanks for the recommendation Victoria. Everybody outsources and subcontracts, but Boeing for years did all the engineering in house and that's what set them apart.
Yes and now it's a mess and costing them their reputation.
Absolutely.

Ooh I love this! Will you email it to me? hijesscraven101@gmail.com
Of course! Later today. Thank you!
Jessica, thanks for the google doc link for the Biden cards!!!! Facebook shut that access down on Heather Cox Richardson’s post.
What? What a bummer!

Yes! It was from CAP. I will look for it and re-post in the newsletter ASAP!
What does “SSI” stand for? And what is it? 😬
Thank you, I wonder how many eligible people are even aware of these benefits.
Oh wow! I mean...sure?
Threatening a woman for expressing her views...how very Trumpy of you...

You're absolutely right. He's only posting propaganda for attention.
I think your wording is intentionally provocative. No one is forcing you to read Jessica's newsletter.
You probably should avoid Israel's Haaretz' newspaper which has featured harsh anti-Netanyahu critiques.

Jess has literally nothing to do with the examples you cite in that other reply.
