Hi, all, and happy Wednesday! I’m quite late this morning, as I got caught in a meeting. I’ll simply say: we’ve made it halfway through the week! Stay with me! Three more days until we can all take a break. In the meantime, please know that your actions matter. They’re moving the needle. They are ALTERING the FUTURE!
I hope you subscribe to Steady by Dan Rather. He posted words and music to Like a Tree Planted by the Water which is a song sung many times as black protesters stood their ground in the face of police and such.
The words and music linked in Dan's posting brought me to tears in light of the week our country is having. But I was glad that I shed those tears because I was sad but I was also determined to carry on in the fight for gun safety and the fight for the soul of our country.
Let's all remember we are fighting the good fight and stand planted by the water.
Just a note. I listened to a 'constituent call' by Jerry Carl yesterday evening even though it hurt my head/ears to do it. He opened with talking about the 87K armed IRS agents they aren't letting the government hire and pretty much went downhill from there. Obviously I was not included in the ALL MALE group of constituents who were allowed to ask him a question or questions. .It was pathetic. His office has never once replied to any calls or emails I have sent. Big surprise. Just wanted to let people know exactly how much fun it is to be a blue dot in a very red state. I won't give up though. At least I can eat up a little of their time!!!!
Every call, every letter, every resistbot msg, every drip drip drip that we each of us make, even blue dots in deep red states (and you have my deepest sympathy), every bit of it counts. Thank you, Lisa.

Oh, I subscribe! In fact I've put that exact post in Extra Extra for this Sunday. Exquisite! Thank you for recommending it!

Ugh that. sounds awful. How do they decide who gets to ask a question?
They choose people who ask what they want them to ask and what they want to answer.
