Hi, all, and happy Wednesday! Also happy Solstice! Tomorrow I will hopefully be on a plane flying to Detroit—assuming we are able to avoid the “once in a generation” storm that is hitting much of the country—so this short newsletter may be the last you hear from me for a spell. (It won’t be too long—I just can’t help myself.)
This arctic blast is hardly a snow-maker. We were originally predicted to get 7”; we got a scant 1”. It hardly smells like snow-- There’s not enough moisture. News media frenzy is exhausting.

Let me add my voice to the chorus of well-wishers - peace, joy, and safe travels, Jessica.
I would also like to agree emphatically with the tip of the hat to Alan Unell's health care advocacy substack. The energizing style of offering both substantial background context and specific, immediate action suggestions is rather familiar to readers (and agents!) of CWCW, isn't it? Putting up a resistbot, as you have done in this post, is fundamentally enabling. Done!
Okay, let me get back to my Climate Action Network 5-a-days. Be well ALL.
Thom Hartmann featured some great points about the current housing crisis. "As America’s housing & homelessness problems reach crisis levels - the housing equivalent of malnutrition & starvation - Sen. Merkley has submitted legislation to stop the corporate feeding frenzy…" Is this something you'd care to feature? There are some calls to action at the end of the essay. :-)
Thank you so much Jess for all you do and for all you do for us :-) I feel such a joy when I read your daily letters to us, and joyous feelings come when I send my letters and tweets and texts!
