Thank you for your inspiration, I just shared your post and mentioned that I tend to hide from politics but you’ve inspired me to make more effort so thank you

Thanks for sharing Andrea's idea to send a postcard to Senator Ernst. On a positive note, I intend to send a postcard to President Biden thanking him for all the work he has done as president. I invite others to join in this effort.

Also, thanks for sharing Timonthy Snyder's videos!

Although, I would hate to see you abandon CWCW, I think you would make a great official voice for the Democratic Party.

I am sending my postcard to Sen. Ernst today. She needs to show leadership and support the troops and retirees.

I also called my Sen. Cornyn to vote against Billy Long for IRS.

Trump is picking people who want to do away with the agency they would represent. It just makes me sick!

I got a msg saying the Joni Ernst link provided was an “”unattended mailbox”(Maybe flooded!) Here is the new one I was sent https://www.ernst.senate.gov/contact/email-joni

I tried to call last week and was not even able to leave a message on the voicemail because it was overflowing. Postcards seem like a good idea given all of that :)

Thank-you for this link. I just sent Senator Ernst my letter asking her to reconsider her position on Pete Hegseth. He is completely unfit to serve in this position and his nomination is really a slap in the faces of our brave men and women of the military and to anyone who holds our democracy dear. I thanked her for her service and her time.

I will write a postcard.

I just got this e-mail in my inbox after sending Senator Ernst a correspondence on your above link. It says "This Is An Unattended Mailbox" and to contact her via phone giving out her numbers. She seems to be barricading herself from her constituents and We The People who are concerned about what is happening to our democracy.

Thanks for once again giving us small, concrete steps we can take to help. I called my Senators and Representative and sent a post card to Sen Ernst. My post card was less insulting. Instead of mentioning cowardice, I appealed to her heroic status as a veteran who can understand the importance of protecting military people, especially female ones.

This is such a lovely reflection today from you Jessica. It is hard to feel one is anything more than dust to disappear into the never-ending social media vaccum cloud. Just being willing to run at today's sweeping in is enough. Thank you for pointing out the places to focus we might miss.

You do good work!

What kind of postcards do people use and where do you get them? Do you just order blank ones? Thanks! I think I want to have a bunch on hand... I can see an ongoing need for them.

I just use old ones from my travels and art museum visits.

I ordered a package of 80 thank you postcards from Amazon last year when it was suggested we thank the people who run for office whether they win or not. I have a lot left and have used them for various political thank yous. Just sent one to President Biden!

Thank you for the postcard suggestion. As a longtime postcards to voters writer, this is a perfect action for me. Today, feeling all the feelings you mention, you brought tears to my eyes. For all of us who have taken action, and feel tired, and keep on going, you are such an inspiration.

Just wrote my postcard to senator Ernst. Keep these specific action items coming! Thank you

Thank you for continuing to inspire us every day, Jess.

Thank you so much for the action items . There’s value in doing them and also value in being engaged - sort of a “well, that wasn’t so bad. I’m going my part.”

Just a couple of things I have found helpful. Reading Meditations by Marcus Aurelius (Gregory Hays translation), Listening to J.K.Rowling’s2008 Harvard Commencement speech, being inspired by the democrats and AG’s speaking out with strong voices against Trump’s viciousness and this…

I can't begin to tell you how amazing it is to have jobs to do every day and scripts and the whole shebang. My MS keeps me housebound, and as I said before, no matter, as my voice is LOUD! Just added all my mf senators and reps to my phone so I don't have to look them up when I call EVERY DAY! WOOT!

Omg, I just left my first ever message to my Congresswoman (D) to back AOC. I did it! I hate making phone calls, but I just love AOC. I couldn't not do it.

Thank you for the script Jessica! It was really helpful.

Great job leaving your first message! When Trump first won in 2016 I didn't even know who my representative was. Now, I call her and my 2 senators SO often I'm sure everyone in the office knows me by name! Thanks to encouragement from Jess and other patriots like her as we dig in for the long game.
