Jessica,
Janet and I just attended the Robert Hubbell / Jill Bickett Zoom meeting on activist burnout and resilience, and we were looking forward to what you had to say in your prepared presentation. But your time was truncated. Is it possible to record a video of your full presentation that can be shared on your blog and linked on Robert’s blog or shared with his activist group?
Thank you for all that you do — including your sharing of the beautiful quote of Vaclav Havel!
Dear Jessica, I’m a longtime activist and a fairly recent subscriber to CWCW. I first encountered you on ballot curing phone banks in 2022, and was amazed to find you on every bank that I participated in. You inspire me and so many I am sure. I freely admit to being a man, and I freely admit that the bulk of my activism is done hand in hand with my amazing wife, who among other things, runs a postcard and letter writing group on zoom every Friday. I am 99.9% of the time the only man in the group. This seems to carry over to most other groups that I get involved with, including Center for Common Ground and Consolidated Oregon Indivisible Network, where you recently gave an amazing presentation that gave me clarity and fired me up all over again. I caught the last half hour of today’s “Burnout” presentation, and I must say, even though your time was cut extremely short, you still get me fired up like none other. The other speakers dealt only with process, which just made me feel inadequate in my activism and would add to any case of burnout, while you, as always, armored us with hope and gave us a call to action. Maybe this is the answer to “where are the men?” Maybe we men respond better to your type of rhetoric, and the invitation to do something bigger than ourselves, as a team? I don’t know, but I will continue to be grateful to you, and I will keep working. Thank you! (Could you please post what you were going to say if you had not been cut off? Thank you!)
Jessica, Can you spread the news about the Facebook group 'A Biden A Day'? Jodi Carter started it in order to spread the good news far and wide about Biden's accomplishments. From her page: 'This group is created for the express purpose of encouraging spread of the Biden administration good news! Once a day, a graphic, video, or article will be posted. Admin will tag everyone in the comments, to notify group members to share the post with your own Facebook friends or with another group.'
Thank you for the Vaclav Havel quote. So helpful just now. Thanks for the link to CNN. It was a relief to finally say something in writing about this pretending Trump is normal and minimizing all the great work that the Biden Administration has been doing 😊🙏
Thank-you so much for the link to contact CNN. I sent them an impassioned plea to STOP normalizing Donald Trump and his fascist bid for the presidency.I told them that I was a concerned viewer who is seeing them and other mainstream news media covering Trump like any other political campaign when nothing could be farther from the truth.I am keeping this link and am going to write them every day. We all should. Again, thanks for your amazing information.
Amen! Can you imagine if Hitler had survived the Bunker and tried to make a comeback that the news would embrace him? That is what we have going on here and it needs to stop!
From Hope comes Effort; from Effort comes Experience; From Experience comes Success; from Success come Confidence; From Confidence in your self comes Confidence in others; from Confidence in each other come Trust; from Trust comes Love. But first is Hope.

Will you ask Robert if it's OK? If it is I'll make it.
Yes, I’ll follow up.

This is such a great theory! I will consider how I can use it. And thank you for your kind words!
I love this, thank you so much!
Yay!
Thank you. I wrote a longer note but lost it (cyber ‘difficulties’). This is most valuable, and inspiring, focused, and Organized!
Ah great!
This is especially relevant to me right now, thank you for this.
Of course! Hi, Reda!
Thanks for the tips about who to donate to, Jess. As to the States Project, I donate to Grapevine Tending to Democracy - https://www.grapevine.org/giving-circle/1XQhnyD/Tending-to-DemocracyThe - which I assume is a subset of the "parent" organization. Good enough?
Yes! Any Giving Circle is ideal! They all go to the Mother Ship,
although to various states within that ship.
👍 I also support Tending To Democracy !
Yay, Kathy!
