Hi, all, and happy Wednesday! Yesterday’s intro was long, so today’s will be short. (Plus I am still a bit weak from COVID—when does that end?) I’ll just say this: we are not only living in historical times; we are making history. What. A. Thrill. Am I right?
On another topic, Jessica. Would you consider recommending to your readers that they email their representatives of either party with something along these lines: "It appears likely that Leader McCarthy will put Hunter Biden in the star chamber as soon as he can. It would be a worthy act of bipartisanship to have a a similar investigation launched into the why and how of the $2bn investment that was made into the Jared Kushner Fund despite advisor recommendations not to invest. An impartial and bipartisan observer would be likely to think that the latter is at least as serious as the former, if not more so."
When I call and urge my congresspeople to stay in session for things like the debt ceiling, I like to remind them how hard we all worked to deliver these last midterm results. They owe us!
Monday and Tuesday night events were awesome!!! Feel better soon. It didn't take me very long, but I had a very mild case. I know others who have had to rest for quite a while. Please pay attention to what your body is calling for!
I have a new commitment. I have added your link to my Bookmark Bar (just learned how to use it!) and Whenever I read of anyone who is troubled by (fill in the blank) in our country, I tell them, you can do something to feel better and make a difference, and here's a way to find out how! Blessings, dear one.
Jessica I hope you're feeling better. I wanted to share a link to a really informative and inspiring forum that I watched tonight and remains up on youtube. Panel of phenomenal women working on Reproductive Justice, part of a UCLA Public Health series. This one is callled "California's Response to the Dobbs Decision and the Challenges Ahead." https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Hh2lxrulUtw
Jess -- just wanted to say about yesterday's post -- the elderly gentleman getting to vote -- the most heartwarming story. I shared it widely. Your strength even with your version of covid fatigue inspires me :-) But seriously I hope you feel better soon. The folks I know who've had it say the lack of energy can be the last symptom to go. You may feel at not full strength but it doesn't show to those lucky enough to get your posts. Take care!
Gotta disagree on the union bill. A tiny number workers in four small unions did not vote for the agreement. For them to force the rest of the railroad workers out of work, not to mention all those who will be affected by a RR shutdown (which is every American) is too much.

Always inspiring!

Please don't forget the very important Electoral County Act. That must be passed t his session.
Jess, as Terry Nicholetti say, pay
attention to your body and its needs
right now. Each type Covid affects
us differently.
