All actions taken. While my disability has taken away my ability to drive, my voice is very loud. I love getting homework assignments!

I'm promoting Jeff Jackson, recently elected as Attorney General in North Carolina, for President in 2028. My grandson discovered him on Tik Tok several months ago. He's a family man, devout, formerly in the military. While in Congress (he was gerrymandered out) but will be there until a new representative is sworn in, the successfully reaches across the aisle.

I'll be 88 in 2028, live in California, and hope I can find younger people from all over the US to join me in supporting Jeff Jackson for President in 2028!

All I can say is the left needs to spread all kinds of news among the population. Biden has governed excellently the last 4 y. To hear the other side you would think they lived on Mars listening to right wing propaganda. We need to counter that with democracy leaning truths. Not wait for msm to do it because they are dead . Start all kinds of Tik Toks, podcasts, whatever.... funny serious everything and disseminate, disseminate, disseminate.

I might have the best product since sliced bread on my shelf but without marketing it's nothing! So here's to all of you trying and doing the right thing. There is NO giving up! NONE! Keep going and thanks 🙏🏽

So down ballot we did not so badly. I am perplexed that voters chose Trump and down ballot chose a Democrat.

I'm going to put this post in the newsletter tomorrow but read it now--it'll help explain. One of my subscribers posted it in the comments a few days ago. I don't know who this woman is or exactly what her group does but this explanation made a ton of sense to me. https://adasina.com/a-post-election-love-letter-to-my-beloved-impact-investing-community/

@Jess, thanks for sharing this terrific Adasina article. Author Rachel Robasciotti views the shift to Trump through the eyes of economically insecure Americans grappling with ever-increasing precarity. Describing the masses for whom "The American Deal" (https://reframingamerica.substack.com/p/the-american-deal) stopped working YEARS ago, she states, "This week, a significant fraction of Americans communicated this very clearly: all other issues take a back seat unless and until we solve for economic precarity."

After the irritating and self-serving hot takes that flooded the media in the early days, more thoughtful assessments are starting to trickle in. We owe it to ourselves to process this loss through inquiry-focused reading and empirically sound analysis. Thank you for contributing to the discourse! Patti

I'm beyond perplexed; I'm suspicious. Certainly not a conspiracy-theorist, but at this point I'd rather believe that Musk/Russia hacked the swing states than accept the current reality (that so many people accepted the Evil Orange).

I'm with you considering store brand dozen eggs are currently $ 2.16 in my state (NC) and gas was $2.85 last time I filled up. Possibly other things are more expensive or people really just don't even make enough money to afford things even when the prices start to come down. I don't know. I haven't read the article at the above link, but I will. It is really disheartening to think so many people in this country don't care about values and morals any more. Also that they don't care if our leaders cozy up to Russia.

I would like it if we could get addresses and send handwritten cards/letters to Kamala, Waltz and Biden to express our gratitude for their joyful positive campaign and integrity. I find it disturbing when we quickly forget the positive influence of such amazing people. Can this be a project to promote on your site??

It's going to be tough for a while but there is something we could all advocate for in the short term that is positive. We could push Biden to make the ERA the law of the land. All that needs to be done is for Biden to ask the national archivist to sign and submit the amendment (which has been ratified by the required 38 states) to the Federal Registry. This website has a whole host of things anyone can do from sending a postcard, making a phone call to joining a vigil near the White House in DC. Wouldn't this be something positive to celebrate? Go to: https://voteequality.us/ to check it out!!

Hey Jess. I'm 80. A paid subscriber. Attended NOPE until the dinner bell rang. Have moved through the stages of Grief and got my feet back under me but here is what I don't understand: All the talk is about the Economy & Immigration. I don't hear ANYTHING about the real reason we lost the Election which was the Internet. Have any of us Lefties spent any time listening to what the rest of the Country was listening to? TOTAL BS ! and probably not written by US citizens. I also wonder what makes us think there will BE another election. T***p says there won't... & he's in charge! unless the real Republicans snap out of it. Encouraged that Thune prevailed over Scott. HOPE !!!

They've been investing heavily in media for decades. Our side spends millions on ads that get seen a few days before the election. Their side churns out propaganda 24/7, all year, every year.

I wonder if you can call and use phrasing that might resonate with your rep. For example, you might say you're concerned that Gaetz is not a "pious" man or a "law-abiding man." That plus a large volume of calls might influence how staffers relay constituents concerns?

Jess's take on NC's state house victories : "It’s huge—and makes me feel like my trip to Charlotte wasn’t a total waste of time."

To which, I say, yes, huge and there is not a solitary thing she's done in NC, or elsewhere, that is any bit of a waste of time! And look at all else that took place in NC—these victories are all HUGE!!!

So thank you, Jess!!! You are a starlight in the darkness, even now ... ✨💛✨

I was at the Nope Session which I enjoyed. I appreciated everyone’s service and dedication to get the votes out. And as the votes were reviewed state by state last night I wondered if anyone gave voter suppression a thought? Greg Palast a journalist whose research reveals the strategy around voter suppression. Why isn’t anyone addressing this?

FYI:https://www.gregpalast.com/heres-what-we-do-now/

I’m curious as it seems this election has been treated and reviewed as a typical election which in reality it is far from it.

I’m curious about anyone’s thoughts about this.

Apparently he has a movie regarding this as well. Any thoughts?
