I’ve really been trying to do the work because I know how important this election is. I’ve text banked a lot of times and almost everyone opts out and it’s discouraging. I’m also sending letters to voters with information and I just want to know that this is making a difference.

I find texting discouraging, too. Have you tried texting with Movement Labs? They're pretty awesome. Do you live somewhere where you can canvass? I'm telling you, it's so uplifting. Failing that, I'd focus on the letters. I think they're really effective. I'm super into the Greenpeace letters because I know the social pressure script they use works really well to bump turnout, but Vote Fwd's letters are excellent, too. I think that's a real and meaningful way of helping.

I can’t remember who exactly I texted with because it was a lot of different organizations. I’ll check out Movement Labs. I’ve never canvassed, seems kind of scary! The letters are with Vote Riders.

You'd be surprised how pleasant it is once you get your sea legs. They will always send you out with an experienced canvasser, too. You can go the first time and just hang back and listen until you feel comfortable.

Alright I’m going to try to look for a way to do it! Ps: you’re doing awesome work and I’m sure everyone who cares about stuff is really grateful for some hope.

The media push to elect Republicans, en masse, has accomplished one thing: I won't vote for ANY of them, come November 8.
