Gosh your posts are always what I need to hear/see! Thank you for continuing to remind us to stay the course with love, kindness and determination.

Here's what I have been up to this week in addition to textbanking...My GenZ daughter and I have launched 🍩Donuts+Democracy🗳️ and have already partnered with 27 colleges in battleground states/districts and HBCUs with more being added every day. The premise is simple - students host a GOTV event - Your Donut - Your Vote - Your Future - and we fund the donuts. We test-piloted this program in 2022 midterms in NV and it was magic. And at $2 a donut is the most effective and least expensive GOTV strategy. Plus young voters are the key to winning and have the most room for growth. To learn more and support our efforts (we need to raise $30K in 7 days and in less than 24 hrs are 1/2 way there!) https://open.substack.com/pub/democratsdeliver/p/donuts-democracy-magic?r=51f18&utm_campaign=post&utm_medium=web&showWelcomeOnShare=true

Great idea, and so simple too. I can imagine the potential for slogans: “Donut sit this one out,” etc. Also, of course, there’s the Vance connection: “Whatever makes sense? How about voting?” I’ll kick in a few bucks for sure.

Love Donut sit this one out! And thank you for donating - we just added Montana State Univ and they are doing SO many - they are doing so many registration and GOTV events and are super excited to include donuts - she said food incentives can double the number of voter engagements! She also said that at her campus (Bozeman, MT) if they can just get the students registered, they will vote blue straight down the ticket so the donuts at the registration events will be key.

Thanks for all that you are doing! Saw you speak briefly at Swing Blue Alliance's fundraiser for PA-10 and PA-01 US House and PA House candidates. Eagerly awaiting your adopt-a-state material for Nebraska. I would like to help with virtual phonebanking into NE-02 to help elect Tony Vargas to the US House, win the electoral vote for Kamala, and (to reach NE-02 and blue dots statewide) to help elect Dan Osborn to the US Senate, and pass the pro-choice ballot measure.

WHEN the Washington Post endorses Trump (unlike NYT, WaPo is run by MAGA stalwarts), it will suffer the ignominy of having its geographic base-DC, Maryland and northern Virginia-largely ignore its advice.

Sick of WaPo's nasty, sly, backstabbing digs at dem ticket, while Vance skates with horrible racist-sexist-genderist BS. We are not on a level playing field, but they keep shimming up the repugnant R's. Literally shameful. I yield my time 🥸

Note I think you misspelled Monica Tranel’s name (with an m). An edit might help drive donations.

I am a Canadian who follows the US political scene closely and would recommend a book of satire called 'Freedumb's Calling' by CZ Richards. It covers what made America great and what MAGA think about that today.

Let’s mail Get-out-the-vote postcards to urge everyone to vote Blue! Some people hand-write the message and addresses in colorful markers. That’s very time-consuming - and my hand writing is terrible. So I buy cards with pre-printed voter instructions, and addresses printed right on the cards (or on sheets of Avery labels they provide). You can often buy stamps there, too!

You want cards with the Voterizer QR code (or web address) printed on. The recipient aims their smart phone camera at the code, a web site appears, they enter their state - in a flash, they can check if they’re registered, register if they are not (in some states, they have until 14 days before the election!). They can also ask for a mail-in ballot. Right then and there!

Check out Field Team 6 - https://www.fieldteam6.org/postcarding1 - and Blue Wave - https://shop.bluewavepostcards.org/ - for great pre-printed cards.

Unless you want to do a lot of writing, check the card’s back view before ordering - some cards have state-specific imagery on the front, but blank backs. If you get pre-printed cards, you only need to write a couple sentences in a colorful fine-tip marker.

I’ve sent out 350 cards already to GA, AZ, PA, and MI. Who will join me?
