Cait is a great soldier but that is not one of the critical qualifications for beating Mike Lawyer, and beating Lawler is what we all have to focus on... no matter how much we love and support our Veterans.
Candidate Beth Davison is Lawler's worst nightmare, as she is knowledgeable about the District (because she has lived in it for decades), and she has experience as a County legislator with an impressive record of working across the isle and delivering for her constituents. Beth is a formidable mix of strengths; County legislator, cancer survivor, community leader... and Jewish in Rockland County where 40% of heavily Jewish District 17's votes will be cast.

Cait is amazing! I hope she gets to serve as a leader in this capacity or something even bigger. She is passionate and smart and her lived experience is so valuable. I live in CA but I loved everything she said. I believe she'd FIGHT hard for working class people. She has such integrity.
I agree with Fredericke's comment below. While Cait is an impressive soldier and anti terrorism expert, that is not what we need in Rockland. Beth Davidson with her personal experience and commitment to our communities is outstanding. I wholeheartedly support Beth and urge everyone else to get to know her. She has enormous energy which she brings to all the best causes.
I wish serious journalists would ask these candidates in our congressional district 17 about their corporate and special interest campaign funders — especially Cait Conley who is a darling of the DCCC and Washington insider political consultants (imagine the $!… the patriots will donate…! She appeals to the middle!) Missing here Jess Craven is the top down steal-from-the-bottom fight for people who lack healthcare and food right now. Popular economic solutions for better healthcare, a reconstruction of vital services.
Cait Conley is a Democratic Party centrist but this is not positioning her as that, too bad. We need truth now more than ever before the millions of media and political consultancy dollars pour in to the district.
My District. Cait Conley is my first choice. She has worked in government on a national level, which is a deciding factor for me. Beyond that, I find her to be brilliant, and an inspiring lifetime public servant. I also believe Cait Conley has the best chance to beat Lawler, especially in the current District which includes Northern Westchester, Putnam, and parts of Dutchess County.
