This is great! Also, thanks for mentioning the ACLU monthly donor option that everyone can subscribe to. I’ve been a monthly donor to the ACLU for about a year. Just give what you can.
I am working for my County Elections Dept during our primary elections [-- last few weeks, today, and tomorrow ] ...working a hotline to assist pollworkers. During training I asked about what if something like ICE or militia members or etc....try to enter the 75ft barrier.... what will pollworkers do, what will we do at the hotline.... I was not impressed with the redponse...like it was not a realistic thing to worry about.
Of course this election is not pin as much jeopardy as the fall election might/will be....but i still expected that there would be a thoughtful response.
Thank you for this interview with the ACLU! They truly do wonderful work. Staying calm as Deidra said is so important. Indivisible is training people too. I hope all of these organizations are working together.
I’m not sure what the ACLU guest meant that Tennessee didn’t gerrymander after the Callais decision. They absolutely gutted Memphis and divided a century old district into 3 or 4 pieces that are stretched for miles now into white Republican districts.
my worry about the fall election is that a police, ICE,or etc, presence on the streets, blocking traffic, attempting to simply strike fear or dissuade/intimidate voters. Maybe they may not actually surround polling places, but even all trump's squawking about voter fraud has reduced the number of people voting in our primary, right now.
Thank you, Jess. You bring your energy and optimism and inspire all of us. (In a personal aside, I like your hair! The color/highlighting is very attractive.)
A SUPER helpful & instructive discussion, Jess. Thank you.
thanks for doing this.

YES! That was the most helpful part of this. Acknowledging the very real scenarios and realistic, thoughtful planning.

How many times has Trump orchestrated fraudulent elections? Don't forget about the Israelites and their fraudulent activities around elections.
