Re. A federal judge has tossed Kash Patel's $10 million lawsuit against a blogger who called him a "googly-eyed Kremlin bitch" and a "blatantly incompetent chud."
The blogger is Jim Stewartson, and he writes "Mindwar" on Substack: 'When people try to take away your freedom, mockery is a powerful tool." I find his perspective fascinating.
Thank you so much for this much-needed list and reminder that it ain’t over yet. Particularly inspiring to me is the kid reading to the dogs. Win-win, dogs have human contact and companionship, the boy learns. Beautiful.
That one made me a bit teary eyed. I can only have so many dogs and all have been rescues and just can't have any more and stories like this remind me there are indeed kind compassionate people out there.
And now is the time to work really hard to make it happen. I sometimes worry when a poll says someone is ahead it might make some folks think their efforts are needed more elsewhere and that never is the case in my opinion.

* Postcards to Swing States (https://turnoutpac.org/postcards/) - these are strictly get-out-the-vote (GOTV) messages targeting low-propensity but progressive-leaning voters. Choose between 3 short motivational messages. NC is just one of the swing states (and House districts) where they have active campaigns.
* Reclaim Our Vote (https://www.centerforcommonground.org/postcards) - empowers BIPOC voters by providing the information they need to vote. NC is one of the five states where they have campaigns. Other states are AL, GA, TX, and VA.
Thank you for this great news! Some of the notices brought tears, the news is so great after all the bad news and hope-sucking frustration. Have a great vacation.
That video was so inspiring....what a nice world it COULD be with a person like Obama leading us. Funny, intelligent, caring, not a pushover....not afraid to make a mistake and admit it and correct it. From what I've seen I'm impressed with Turek (was before the video) but to be honest, I was impressed with fetterman.
I too was impressed with Fetterman. To the tune of $200. The up side of this is it was a lesson in choosing a candidate to vote for. All that counts is what they have done. Promises are worth only their tangible content. Air and ink count for very little of that.
Well said. That does make it a little hard for new blood to get into elected positions...but I think anyone running for an office should have done something, at least be active in community/national organizations that show they genuinely care about something, whether it's being on a library board, actively participating in Audubon activities...supporting Sesame Street....something. And for goodness sakes folks that have questionable activities anywhere in their past should just not run...surely by now everyone knows anything you ever did will come out and there is a chance false allegations will be made about you, so, especially if you are a democrat you need to be pretty close to squeaky clean. Of course if you are a republican having fraud, extra marital affairs, domestic violence or sex abuse charges in your past will help you get elected. After all, birds of a feather flock together.
