A last minute request for help

Hey, all.

Sorry for the two emails in a day, but I just got this urgent email from someone on the leadership team of AFGE (the American Federation of Government Employees). I’m sure you’re aware that Trump has been heavily targeting them, and they need our help right now—or actually first thing tomorrow morning.

He said:

Our union is going through some tough challenges right now, and I’m hoping you can pass along this request to any phone bankers you worked with on the campaign.

The Trump Administration issued an executive order illegally eliminating dues deduction for our 330,000 members and putting our union’s existence under threat.

We have launched a campaign to get our members to enroll into e-dues so they can remain members, and have successfully enrolled more than 100,000 people already.

But we need help reaching the rest.

Do you have a good group of phone bankers you can mobilize to help us?

Our next phone bank session will be Thursday, April 24 at Noon ET / 9AM PT. You can register here.

(We will also have a session Tuesday, April 29 at 5pm DC time, register here.)

We will give an update on the campaign at the beginning of the call and then a training for new folks joining the effort. The phone banking will all be to existing AFGE members to get them to enroll in E-dues so they remain members.

Thank you in advance for any help you can provide on recruiting good phone bankers for this effort.

Do I have a “good group of phone bankers?” HECK YES! Can some of them rally to help our union brothers and sisters tomorrow? I’ll wager YES!

This is a way we can truly support federal workers, my friends. Can you help? These are easy, pleasant calls, and so, so important. They need to reach 230K more people. They need an army.
