I usually don’t send a newsletter on Saturdays, but I forgot to include a few time-sensitive and amazing things happening this weekend in yesterday’s newsletter, including a Harris-Walz rally in Nevada and a couple of SURJ (Showing Up for Racial Justice) phonebanks! Silly me! Here they are!

Phone Bank with White Men to defeat MAGA!

We'll call a strategic list of white men in North Carolina to have conversations and move them to support Kamala Harris!
White men are Donald Trump’s strongest base of electoral and financial support, yet we have an undeniable stake in electing Democratic Presidential nominee Kamala Harris.
So let’s do our part to win in November and keep winning the advances we need to put the nail in the MAGA coffin. We know that people of color are going to show up for Harris- and it’s on us to make sure enough white people, and white men, do, too.

conversations. Training, scripts, coaches, collective action. All you need is a charged computer + phone and to show up!
The MANY OVER MAGA
SURJ believes that when regular people come together, we can pull off BIG things. In the face of the many crises of the world right now, it can feel like nothing we do is as big as what’s needed. But this year, we don’t have to do everything– we have to do our part.

Thank you for highlighting SURJ. I organize with them in Washington State but my focus is on texting so I didn’t even know about today’s event. They have a great reputation for phone banking in a deep way that engages callers in conversation and not just a one-way script. Hope some folks can hop on this opportunity.
