I so appreciate your clarity about how the voters are seeing beyond the hype of polling and media categorizing to vote for strong candidates! But more than this, I appreciate that here we are, counting down to the midterm elections, after a constant on-going barrage of administration attacks on our country - structures, values, people —and you are still steadily bringing us grounded, appropriate and timely encouragement.

People commenting gave him credit for being a good sport but my take is that he is so desperate for validation that he is willing to be humiliated so long as someone is letting him speak.
When I heard about those damn ICE gloves my mind went into overdrive. I see them parking a van and running out attacking whoever is in their way - citizen or not.
Not only did Peggy Flanagan win in MN and Angie Craig graciously concede right away, Flanagan herself got more votes than all GOP senate candidates combined. MN also posted a new record of 1.1M voters turning out in the primary - 25% of all registered voters. And I’m very proud to note that we are the first state in the nation to ever have two women running for Governor and whoever is elected will be the first female governor of MN! (Amy Klobuchar was the first female US Senator ever elected here and may well become the first Governor!!) Disarray? Oh HELL no! Eyes on the prize - Democrats up and down the ballot.
Wisconsin voter here. The “legacy media” got it wrong. Francesca Hong only lost by decimal points, her ideas excited many voters of all ages and will continue to influence our politics going forward. I voted for her and now gladly support Crowley.

Here is a Progressive win that should be on your radar Jess! Amanda Janoo just won the Democratic Primary for Governor of Vermont! Her worthy opponent was more centrist and Amanda came out of nowhere to win the hearts and minds of Vermonters! She is someone to keep your eye on and has the young people of Vermont, energized, excited and canvassing, like someone else we recently saw win in New York City! Go Amanda Janoo!
Jess gives much needed perspective and we must spread the word as well. THIS is the work. THIS is what we were meant to do. Let's exhale and keep going. Most of all remember: We simply have work to do. Because ultimately these elections won’t come down to vibes and they won’t be determined by the pundit class. Polls won’t flip a single seat. Neither will hopes, or prayers.
