Hi, everyone.

I tested positive for COVID last night when I got home from the airport and I’m really sick, so I’m sending out this email to say I’m likely down for the count until Monday.

The good news is that I know most of you aren’t. Here’s subscriber Chris O, for example, writing from rural Vaughn WA:

Today the postcarding group that my husband and I started in early February surpassed the 10,000 mark for Field Team 6 voter registration postcards which translates to (on average)  more than 2,000 newly registered Dems and Independents! We never dreamed our campaign would grow this large and we’re still getting new writers every week. My goal was to help people feel less helpless and it’s working! Thank YOU for introducing me to Field Team 6 ❤️

Thanks, Chris for giving us a “pep talk” today when I’m too ill to do so myself. I’m bolstered by knowing that there are millions of such American heroes exerting themselves to ensure that we save democracy this November.

In this month’s call, Elizabeth will help us understand DEI historically, expose tactics used by bad actors to undermine and outlaw DEI efforts, and ground us in an awareness of DEI’s profound impact. Then, we’ll take action -- because understanding may be difficult, but common ground on issues like belonging and fairness is easy to find, and we can shift the narrative.

The folks at Blue CD2 New Mexico will share the methods they used to register new Democrats and motivate reluctant, disengaged voters. They’ll touch on how critical holding this seat is to flipping the house, why we need to double our impact this November, and how you can help by donating and volunteering for their postcard and texting teams.
