I am so angry and sad to hear that HJR 140 passed. I am hoping there are legal challenges because the GOP used the CRA to pass it with a simple majority and no filibuster. The CRA should not have been applicable. Also, Canada has waterways that connect with the Boundary Waters. Maybe Canada will fight this slaughter of the environment. I will take the other actions you mentioned. Thanks Jess.

The great flaw of the Democratic Party is the absence of real leadership. What we need at this point (like next week) is to gather together under one roof as many as we can of California's accomplished leaders, both past and present and come up with a single candidate for governor that they agree or at least prefer to support. Average California democrat voters are not well enough informed to make a good choice for the Governor vote. If you think Donald trump has made a mess out of our Federal government just watch what a Republican Trumpist will make out of California.
I am a big fan of the Environmental Voter Project and generally enjoy phoning with them but for the VA redistricting referendum I don't think they are the best phone bank. They are basically doing their regular non-partisan get out the vote without much information about the referendum. Voters are confused and need the potential for persuasion calls for this. Andrea Miller, the head of Center for Common Ground - another great group - said on a Tuesday zoom they need more help calling Black voters. They have regular phone banks and they also have 2 different dialers for phoning on you own with a large range of hours when you can make calls: https://www.centerforcommonground.org/phonebanks Center for Common Ground is telling voters that President Obama and the NAACP want them to vote yes. The Yes campaign has multiple phone banks: https://www.virginiagrassroots.org/voteYES/voteyes_phonebanks.php Spanish language phonebanks with the Arlington Democrats on Friday and I think Monday. Grassroots Democrats are phoning. Today's Rogan's list has the most comprehensive list of phone banks I have seen.
