Special White House party edition! 🎄
Hey, everyone!
Today’s an off day for the newsletter, but I promised I’d send White House pictures, so below are a few. I posted more on my Instagram feed (@jesscraven101), so if this isn’t enough there’s a bit more there.
Suffice it to say it was an extraordinary, moving, and gorgeous event. The decorations were literally incredible. The food, which I never got a chance to eat, looked sumptuous. The building itself? Everything I expected and way more. I feel so lucky to have been invited.
I’d also like to send a special word of thanks to my subscriber, Dorothy H., who allowed me the use of her terrific D.C. apartment for two nights to spare me the cost of a hotel. Such a generous gesture! THANK YOU!

And here’s part of President Biden’s speech. He was only with us for about 7 or 8 minutes, but Dr. Biden stayed for a few minutes more to “press the flesh” (picture above.) I didn’t get to speak to him in person but we all yelled “We love you, Joe!” many times!
And here are a few more paintings and historic objects, including some early 19th century candlesticks used in the White House, a portrait of George Washington that survived the fire in 1812, and a bunch of LBJ stuff, (because I’m mildly obsessed with him.) For a history buff it was HEAVEN.

People’s Action Institute and the Care Over Cost campaign are bringing patients, doctors, and advocates together for a nationwide livestream event to expose the greed of corporations like Blue Cross Blue Shield, Elevance, Aetna, Cigna and UnitedHealth. Instead of being polarized, Americans across the political spectrum are united in calling for corporations that delay and deny care to be held accountable, and in urging lawmakers to act.

Thank you for all you do. Have you heard of any resistance movements? The US needs a grand scale unified resistance like there was in France to the Nazis. Please keep your ear out if you hear anything.
