I have an idea to start a chain email. According to a recent video by Heather, she unequivocally says republicans in the house and senate are the ones we need to reach. I believe there are many people not engaged. If we email our family & friends, in blue & red districts, with the hope that many emails will find their way to republican districts to ramp up contact with those senators and congresspeople. I am going to include in the email Heather's 5 minute video regarding the urgency in contacting Republicans. Thank you for all you do Jess. You are inspiring!!!
I just listened to Ezra and Leah. They talked about the insurrection act and what it means. Yes, it’s very bad. But it doesn’t take away our 1st amendment rights. We can continue to peacefully protest and speak out. I needed to hear that.
Just look at all the numbers who contributed (many small amounts!) to the GoFundMe pages in support of the Ford worker who called out Trump and was then suspended. At least some of the pages have been closed, but such a great way to show support. I look forward to a report of the total amount raised and the total number of contributions.
Purchase 5 whistles for community groups to help protect their neighbors and keep families together in the face of ICE raids. We’ll make sure they are able to literally blow the whistle on ICE.

I am a full time activist, author, and content creator and my income is largely this newsletter (and a bit of paid social media work). Independently wealthy? 😂😂 no. But yes I suppose energetic.
Thank you for this. I’m in Montana helping my daughter and her family after her hip replacement surgery. I can only check in sporadically. Tim Walz and Arlo Guthrie have it right. This is ugly and it will only get uglier still until we stop it. Onward all.
Regarding the Florida bill (sponsored by my “freedom”-loving Rep Sirois) to lower the age to own long guns that includes AR-15’s, it just passed the FL House. However, there is no companion bill in the Senate.Yet again.SS….Sorry Sirois !

Yep . . . “All You Fascists Bound to Lose.” Here’s some more support for Jess’s argument that “we, the people, are the antibodies” to the fascist virus: History reveals that it is during these extraordinary times that we are experiencing . . . where the chaos seemingly goes way beyond what we can withstand . . . it is in this kind of unbearable state where positive change is most accessible. In other words, it is this chaos . . . that is the hard and necessary space where something new can be born. Nothing meaningful comes into being without passing through disorder. Nothing. What feels like collapse is often a clearing—a painful, sometimes disorienting re-thinking of what matters most. This moment is asking something of all of us—not perfection, not certainty, but presence . . . in the streets and in our souls. We are in the middle of becoming an America for everyone—and “becoming” has always been a tender, unruly, and hopeful thing. Three values that Jess amplifies in her almost daily messaging!
Things are escalating. I believe the only reasonable next step is for the People , The Resistence, to rise up as a political force and launch a National Strike.
Any ideas on how to get it going?
Maybe the leaders of liberal Substack blogs can help kick it off.
