Happy Thanksgiving!
Hi, all. Happy Thursday.
Just a brief note to wish you all a happy Thanksgiving—or whatever else you celebrate on this day.
Whether you’re gathering with family, hanging with friends, cooking for twenty, eating Chinese food, holding a vigil for Indigenous people, watching movies with your sweetheart, or ignoring the holiday completely, I send you love. I have mixed feelings about Thanksgiving for the obvious reasons, but I am unequivocally a fan of some of its hallmarks: gratitude, community, and fellowship chief among them. I hope, then, that you are partaking in some or all of those things today.
Please know that I am indescribably grateful for this community—for the work you do, the kindness you show, the support you offer, and the courage you demonstrate every single day.
I know this is a hard time; it is the community we have built together that makes it nevertheless tolerable and sometimes even sweet. Thanks for that.
Enjoy your day. Enjoy your weekend. Enjoy those you love and who love you.
Remember, joy, too, is a form of resistance. May you find a great deal of it today. You deserve it.

Jessica I have just upgraded to paid. As I have said before I am not American, rather a Brit. living in France, but the work you do is internationally important.. I hope that my contribution does not compromise you in any way or seen as 'foreign' interference.' I'm sure that you know very well the political climate in which you will be operating in the future. Quite frankly I wouldn't put anything past either Musk (wanna be president) or Trump whose failing mental health (plus Narcissism on speed) leaves him wide open to manipulation and/or his unpredictable nature (except at money grabbing).
