Yes, I’m aware of what happened last night. And that’s literally all the attention I’m going to give it.
Look, we’ve just worked our hearts out on an earth-shattering election, defied all odds, and (for now) saved our democracy. We deserve a respite from fear, chaos and drama. We still have ballots to cure, and an important runoff to win. Who has or has not declared for the 2024 GOP ticket can’t be a priority right now.
Especially because the entity in question derives life from receiving attention. Let’s provide him with exactly none.
Instead, give attention to this: our many victories listed in Tiktok form. (It’s also here on Instagram.) I’m purposely pushing it to you because I don’t want you to lose sight of what we just did. Don’t let any Republican megalomaniac suck the air out of the beautiful, sun-filled room we’re in. Bask in the glow of success! You’ve earned it!
We are strong, powerful, seasoned, and smart. We just did the impossible. We are about to do it again in Georgia.
We’ll do it as often as we have to.

First, I know the Senate is voting on the Respect For Marriage Act today, and I want the Senator to vote yes. It doesn’t go nearly as far as it should, but it’s a decent start. It needs to pass.
Second, I want to urge the Senate to pass S 445, the Mainstreaming Addiction Treatment Act, during the lame duck period. This bill already has bipartisan support and will save literally hundreds of thousands of American lives. It’s a no-brainer. Please ask the Senator to prioritize its passage. Thanks.

During this "lame duck" session, I strongly urge Democrats to use their majority to enact debt ceiling legislation that will prevent Republicans from engaging in political blackmail to ram through policies that they don't have the votes to enact normally. The best way to do that is to repeal or rewrite the debt ceiling law. If that is not feasible, then the current debt ceiling must be raised to a level that will not be reached until mid-2025 at the earliest. Thanks. [H/T and more info]

I am extremely disappointed that President Biden’s much-needed student debt relief has been blocked by the courts.
Now more than ever, we need Congress to act to secure student debt relief for the millions of borrowers burdened by the increasingly unpayable student debt crisis. Student loan debt has strayed away from being a form of investment needed to ensure higher wages and has become an immovable hurdle in the lives of millions. This makes the legal challenges blocking President Biden's student debt relief deeply disappointing.
As my representative, I am calling on you to ensure borrowers see student debt relief and to make student debt cancellation a top legislative priority, leaving room for no courts to legally challenge or block it. Thanks.
