Happy Veteran's Day!

Hi, all, and happy Veteran’s Day!

I didn’t send out a regular newsletter today, obviously, but I did just want to say a couple of things:

First, a huge thanks to those of you who serve or have served our military in any capacity. We are eternally in your debt. I’m the grand-daughter of a WWI veteran— my mother’s father was in the 55th infantry, which fought in the Meuse-Argonne offensive. I’m proud of him, grateful he served, and, of course, thankful he survived. I’m thinking of him a lot today.

I’m also thinking about all of you.

Because even those of you who haven’t taken up arms for our country are serving it in a notable way. You have sacrificed a great deal in other ways, and I know it. Every one of you is a hero, as far as I’m concerned.

But today is for our veterans. So especially to you, thank you again.

Finally, I include below two fundraisers that are coming up on Tuesday. I wanted to give you time to plan for them, because they both feature incredible speakers. They’re one after another so technically you could do both. They should both be amazing, informative, and inspiring. If you want to attend but can’t afford to give let me know and I’ll talk to the hosts, but I think you can give any amount and go.

OK. I hope you have a lovely long weekend. I’m going to finally go use a massage gift certificate I’ve had since March. After all, one needs occasionally to refill the tank when one is driving great distances.

I hope you’ll do the same.
