Mini mid-week vacation edition...

Hi, all, and happy almost New Year!

I wanted to send this email for a couple of reasons: first, I’m getting some queries from new subscribers wondering why they’re not hearing from me; (because I’m taking a rare and long-postponed two week vacation 😳), and second, because I have a quick call for you to make. So even though it’s an “off week,” and we’re all supposed to be sleeping, eating or trudging gleefully through snowy wonderlands, please do this for me if you can?

On that note? Thank you for taking a break. Thank you for reconnecting with family and loved ones. Thank you for replenishing those wonderful, massive spirits of yours.

The Republicans have made it clear that they’re not willing to support legislation that protects our right to vote. Do it without them. There are no second chances. Our democracy is on the line. On Thursday, January 6th there are events nationwide commemorating the attack on our Capitol and highlighting the need to protect our democracy. Some of these will be virtual voter registration phone banks, and I’m hosting one of them! Will you join me?
